We meet weekly on Sundays
6-8 PM in the Youth Lounge

BRING YOUR FRIENDS! ALL ARE WELCOME!

COME SEE OUR NEWLY REVAMPED YOUTH LOUNGE & FIRE-PIT AREA!

What if there were a place where your middle school and high school students could figure out what it meant to follow Christ?

A place where they were safe to explore who they are not just what they are going to do? A place that cared about your family as they cared for your kids?  St. Peter's Student ministry is that place.  Your kids can really thrive as Disciples of Christ.  Our core value is that we are accepting.  We create a sense of belonging - being involved, developing and giving our students and their families empowerment.

SUMMER CAMP 2017 Registration is Open NOW.

High School! House Boats!!

Get away from the Summer heat by joining the Rock at Sonshine Ministries Lake Shasta! Spend the week: Tubing, Wake boarding, swimming, lounging and laughing! Most importantly it's a way for high school students to reflect on God in one of California's most scenic areas.

When:  July 30 – Aug 5,  2017 (Rock)
Where: Sonshine Ministries Lake Shasta
Cost: $450.00

As a youth department we do our absolute best to find the best and most affordable camp opportunities.  The total cost of sending one student to house boats is $600 you'll notice that is not the price we charge our students. St. Peters by the Sea is committed to providing camp experiences that further students faith. In comparison to other camps, it is $100-$200 cheaper than your typical camp.

At St. Peters by the Sea we NEVER want money to be an obstacle for students attending camp. Please ask us about our camp financial aid.

Youth Sunday

YOUTH SUNDAY

Youth Sunday

YOUTH SUNDAY

What is Youth Sunday?

Youth Sunday is a chance for our congregation to empower students, youth leaders and youth staff to lead Sunday morning worship. It will showcase students playing in the band, ushering, reading scripture and much more!  This year's Youth Sunday is on May 7, 2017 at 10:15AM, One Service Sunday.

It is not just a Sunday about Easter Project, but we will definitely have some testimonies from it.  Look for next year's Youth Sunday Worship sometime in mid-spring. It is a powerful service. One not to be missed.

Please encourage your students to participate or attend! It is a privilege to be invited to do this in the larger congregation and I always look forward to seeing our students shine.

Any questions about our Youth Sunday worship or our Youth Groups please do not hesitate to email or call me.

ADULT MEXICO MISSION TRIP 2017

November 10-12 | Veterans Day Weekend | Friday through Sunday | Cost is $295

You Are Invited!

"These folks want to make a difference in the world and this is a very real way to do that."

~Scott Porter, St. Peter's Trip Leader

A group of fun, interesting, and helpful folks from St. Peter's by the Sea Presbyterian Church will be travelling again to Tijuana, Mexico to build a two room house for a deserving Mexican family.  Last year, over a three day span this group built nearly an entire house -- all that was missing from the home was a second coat of stucco. Please consider joining them again this year.

The trip is November 10-12.  Veterans Day Weekend.  Friday through Sunday.  Cost is $295.  All money and completed forms must be received by no later than Sunday October 22, 2017

All information, including the three required forms are in this attached document.  And, if the attached documents and forms don't answer your questions, feel free to email:  Scott Porter.

Even if you cannot make it, please consider forwarding the attached information to those that you think might be interested. There is no requirement to be affiliated with St. Peter's in any way.  And absolutely no construction skills required!

Let's do this.

Scott Porter

The activities are coordinated through Amor Ministries, a Christian organization that has overseen the construction of more than 1,200 homes a year in Mexico since 1980. Many people who have participated in previous years say they’ve returned with invigorated faith, priorities more aligned with the way they feel called to live, and new perspectives on the problems of poverty. We hope this trip satisfies whatever longings have led you here.

PERFECTLY AGED GROUPS

Ageable Sociables

Ageable Sociables was started to provide some of our housebound seniors a way to get out for a monthly activity. Teams of volunteers choose an event once a month, provided transportation, and often serve refreshments during the outing. Some of the past events included showing a travel film of the host's trip to Africa, a Halloween themed picnic at the Portuguese Bend Beach Club (Barbara Buck came dressed as a Sumo wrestler), and a barbecue dinner served at a beautiful hilltop home overlooking the ocean.

Ageable Sociables is always looking for more hosts and volunteers to continue this ministry.

Doing Life Together.  Why Not You? Why Not Now?

Small Groups at St. Peter's

Would you like to develop deep rooted relationships with God and with each other? Then why not try a Small Group?

We have many small groups at St. Peter's and new ones are forming all the time. Some of our small groups consist of dinner groups, hiking groups, women's groups, men's groups, and co-ed groups.   In these small groups, participants get to know one another, discuss a biblical text or spiritual topic, share joys and concerns, and pray for one another. Small groups provide a unique space for us to learn from each other and grow spiritually.  When we gather with others who have different gifts and strengths than us, in settings where we can go a little deeper than the casual conversation on the church patio, then we are bound to learn and grow in faith and life experience.

For more information on how to join or start a small group please contact: Heather Callow at callowhc@aol.com
