Dear St. Peter’s Family & Friends:

The Fall of 2019 will be a time to opt-in, as together we undertake an immersive journey in our church.  In tandem with our Widen Our Welcome facilities renovation campaign, we will study God's Word, pray, visit with one another, and strengthen our ability to share our faith and the gifts God has generously entrusted to us.  Working together, we will repair, renovate and revitalize our facilities to increase our capacity for ministry.  We’ll also enhance the ways in which we nurture one another, deepen faith, serve in God’s name, and welcome all to know the love of Jesus through our church family.

That is why we are asking you to opt-in and join us in a pledge to increase your time in devotion and the study of God's Word during the months ahead.  Whether on an independent basis and/or as part of one of our Bible Studies or ministry groups at church, we ask that you consider a level of Bible Study that represents an increase for you.  It's only time, but we believe these will be the most important "appointments" of the week – the time we spend with God's Word.  Our Deep Dive Bible Study through October 20 is offered each Sunday after worship at 11am.  During the month of November, we will have an all church Widen Our Welcome bible study during the 11am Growth Time hour.  Please make every effort to join us.  We are confident God will unite and grow us if we are in God’s Word together.

We also invite you to attend one of several Widen Our Welcome informational gatherings which will be hosted during the month of October.  These meetings are an important part of our Widen Our Welcome campaign.  The events are informational with time for dialogue and questions.  No financial commitments will be asked for or received at these gatherings.  You will have a good time meeting with others in our church family and will learn more about our facilities renovation campaign and project.

Your attendance at one of these informational meetings is important.  On the reverse side of this letter is a list of scheduled meetings to date.  Be listening for announcements about these meetings, and sign up for one of the gatherings after worship on the patio or by contacting Karen Hatt in the church office.  Please plan to attend one of these gatherings as an expression of your support and as an encouragement to others.  For more information, please contact our Widen Our Welcome Gathering Directors, Dave or Cathy Howard, at

Many of you have lived and breathed life into this campus for decades.   Others of you are newer to St. Peter’s.  To all of you we say thank you for your faithful commitment to the mission and ministry of St. Peter’s – past, present and future.   We love and appreciate you all.

Yours in Christ,

The Rev. Paul Barrett                                The Rev. Barbara Buck
