At St. Peter's our purpose is to engage community in addressing human need by bringing hope and tangible help to our local, U.S. and international communities with respect and love.  In Mission we serve:  the needy before us, with disciples beside us, for the God above us, from the Spirit within us.  St. Peter's has been known as a mission-focused church since it was originally founded in 1959.  Our congregation put in hundreds of hours each year reaching out and providing helping hands in our community and beyond. We serve as tutors, mentors and general support to 15th Street School in San Pedro, cook warm meals for the homeless through Neighbor to Neighbor and the families dealing with HIV/AIDS through Circle of Life, walk to end hunger at the CROP Hunger Walk, walk to beat cancer at our local Relay For Life annual event, sponsor families at Christmas time through Harbor Interfaith Services, help at the numerous food pantries, donate blood at our annual blood drive and helped paint a multipurpose room in Nicaragua last year. Over the years, St. Peter's has identified organizations and missionaries that need support on a regular basis. We support these organizations through hours of service. Please join us in helping serve:  Here, Near and Far.
