"God's Promises"

Advent is a season built around Christian hope. Christian hope is a confidence that something will come to pass because God has promised it will come to pass. We don’t know when. We don’t know how. But God has promised, and God always keeps God’s promises. So we continue to watch and wait for the fulfillment of God’s promises. The promises are indeed not complete, but neither are they something separate from the fact that Jesus is born.  The church has been given a calling to share the good news that is Christ, through whom we have reconciliation with God.  During Advent we’ll explore and be reminded of God’s promises for us, individually and together, and for the world that God loves.
