What:  The Trail is the St. Peter's pro-
gram for 4th and 5th Graders.  We
meet for fellowship, fun and to learn
more about God!

When:  The Trail meets weekly for
Church School during both the 9:15
and 11:00 services in our lounge!  We
also gather for The Dos,
our monthly fellowship events.

Children & Family Ministries Minimize



The mission of the St. Peter’s By The Sea Children & Family Ministries is to:
  • Welcome children and their families into a relationship with Jesus and into the fellowship of his body, the church…
  • Nurture children in the development of their faith through a ministry of discipleship including study, prayer, fellowship, worship and service…

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) Minimize

Children participate in the MOPPETS program. Contact Kandis Wannamaker ext. 236 for more information.

While moms enjoy a hot, delicious breakfast and awesome discussion, children (0-5) are cared for in our MOPPETS program. MOPPETS is a pre-school like setting led by experienced and nurturing childcare providers. Children engage in free and guided play, share a Bible story, work on a simple craft and enjoy a healthy snack. Moms are provided a pager so they can be reached, if needed.

Church School Minimize
Curriculum
We have an amazing team of teachers who guide the children through weekly lessons using the FaithWeaver curriculum. This unique series provides an overall view of the Bible in a three year cycle. Winter and spring is dedicated to exploring the New Testament. Summer and fall lessons examine the Old Testament. Students in all grade levels will learn the same story on a given Sunday; however, the themes drawn out of those scripture passages will be specifically applicable for each age group. Look for the take-home sheets with helpful parent information!

Infants & Toddlers - Nursery/Toddler Center
PreK - Nursery/Toddler Center

K - 1st Grade - Room 3
2nd & 3rd Grade - Room 1
4th & 5th Grade - Room 8

Children are invited to attend worship with their parents through Time for Children, after which they will be escorted by a Church School teacher to their classrooms. Parents are asked to meet their children in the appropriate classroom following the worship service.

Children's Programs Minimize
Nursery/Toddler Care Center
Infant/Toddler care is provided at all church worship services and by reservation for many activities.  While parents attend worship services, adult classes and special events at the church, they can depend on St. Peter's to provide a safe, loving, nurturing environment for infants and toddlers.  The center is lovingly staffed with a team of childcare professionals assisted by trained volunteers.  To assure peace-of-mind vibrating pagers are provided to parents.  
Baptism
We believe that baptism symbolizes God's loving claim on our lives even before we understand and we encourage infant baptism.  At baptism, the parents promise to live the Christian faith and teach that faith to their child, and the congregation promises to love, guide and nurture that child in the Christian faith.  One of our Pastors would welcome a conversation toward scheduling a baptism.  
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is for children from 3 years old to 8th grade.  It is one week in the summer.   Watch the website for updates!!!
