Low Administrative Costs: Over 95% of what you give goes directly to disaster relief: less that 5% of PDA's budget is spent on administrative costs.
Grassroots Approach: When PDA arrives at a disaster, they immediately partner with local congregations, training pastors and church leaders in disaster response and giving pastoral care to survivors and caregivers. They go in from the bottom up and train those who are there to respond to the disaster.
Networking: PDA networks with partner Christian agencies all around the world. Networking is critical in times of disaster. Some of their major partners are Church World Service and ACT. PDA works alongside agencies like the Red Cross by seeking out people who need special attention (the elderly, the disabled, etc.).
Commitment: PDA is there to the end of a disaster, which sometimes means (depending on the disaster's severity) that they stay there for years. Presbyterians have the reputation around the world as the last to leave a disaster.
